Birthdays and trees

If there's birthday to celebrate and there's nobody here to celebrate it for, is it still a birthday?

Today is my mom's birthday. She would have been 57. I still miss her so much. There is a big gaping hole. Last night I read James 1:3-4. Trials are for us, shaping us. Painful.

Today I:

1. took my meds
2. applied window film to half of my bathroom window
3. put away some wrapping paper to go up in the attic

Not really very productive.

Address change

Today I changed my mom's address to mine. Those well-meant Christmas cards have to go somewhere, might as well be here. And her tax stuff should be coming soon. Joy of the season.

Cross-stitch

One day I will finish these projects, but until then I plug away in my spare time. It's fun teaching the students these things then they can have their own unfinished projects.

This is my attempt at accountability. I need to be able to report that I have taken daily meds, exercised, schooled, and done all the necessary steps to be a better worker in the house.
